About us
Two people who care about small businesses getting a fair shot online.
We started The Good Site Co because we kept seeing the same problem: brilliant small business owners with outdated sites that undersold everything they'd built. We decided to fix that, one business at a time.

Brant has spent 20 years building things that work and look like someone gave a damn — production systems, AI platforms, bronze sculptures, 30-foot installations at Burning Man.
He studied chemistry and psychology at St. Olaf, earned a master's in counseling psychology from Naropa, and spent six months in a monastery in Thailand. That's not a typical engineering resume, and it's the point. He thinks about how people actually experience what he builds, not just whether it runs.
Most engineers hand off design. Most designers can't touch the code. Brant does both, which is why a GoodSite build looks like it cost five times what it did. He writes every line and designs every pixel.
Lives in Marin County with strong opinions about typography and an unreasonable number of sketchbooks. Works so his cat can live his best life.

Michael has built and run businesses since he was 24, and spent years staring at a website that didn't represent the company he'd actually built. That's not hypothetical. He knows what it feels like to win a client in person and lose the next one because they checked the site first.
He spent a decade in enterprise product and operations at Fortune 500s, financial services companies, and growth-stage startups, building the kind of infrastructure that most small businesses can't access and can't afford. The Command Center exists because he kept asking the same question: why does a 10-person company have to choose between enterprise-grade tools and actually running their business?
He runs operations, client experience, and everything that happens between ‘yes’ and ‘live.’ Works so his dog can live his best life.
Why we exist
Small businesses are the backbone of local economies. They're also the ones who get the worst deal from the web design industry: either overpriced agencies that take months and charge $20,000, or cheap templates that look like every other site on the internet.
There's a middle — professional, strategy-backed, genuinely good work at a price that makes sense for a small business. That's the gap we're filling.
We write the copy. We build it fast. You own everything when we're done. No platform subscriptions, no hostage situations, no surprises.
